I have always loved Canon. Before the A2000 I owned a Powershot A80. I knew right away what brand I would buy next. So far it has given me great shots, very detailed and clear. Having cats that move a lot and a child that does the same the feature “kids & pets” works great. No more red demon eyes or glowing eyes from my cats. Although on my older camera it had a fold out window to view which was very convenient for taking self pics and plus keeping the screen from getting damaged however the 3″ screen is amazing and great for seeing every shot perfectly before you shoot. The overall smaller size of the new camera verses the old is ok I guess. I kinda of miss the right hand gripping feature a little. Other than that I couldn’t be more happy about it. Some people have said that the lag between each picture is long but I don’t see much of a problem with it. Maybe try replacing batteries (I use rechargeable) and moving down the picture view time to 2 secs. Also, seeing as this camera runs over $200 at local retailers the deal for $165 on Amazon was great. I also purchased an 8GB card and I got everything for under $190 all including shipping. I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone.

I would HIGHLY reccomend this camera. It has a setting for everything and the hassle free auto mode makes picture taking a snap. I really like the professional results and the ability to use situation specific settings. This camera has it all and video too !!

It’s very easy to understand, takes amazing photos, there’s never any blurry pictures, and it’s a good price. I’m not easily satisfied, but I looooove this camera.
3 Stars you get what you pay for
This camera has some nice features and does a pretty good job at what it attempts. Those that seems to have large adversity to this camera (and those that seem to love every aspect of it) should remember that it’s not a $600 camera.
In low light without flash the pictures are likely to be blurry because it takes longer to process the low amount of light in the area. I can also see some of the pixles when I take videos. Maybe this is a problem with my specific camera?
At any rate, I think the camera is decent and does a good enough job for what I need. If you’re looking for a camera that takes really good pictures all the time, then this is not the camera for you. Be prepared to work a little harder to capture the shots more with your own skills and less with the technology of the camera.

If you told me 2 years I would be able to take pictures like this with a digital camera I would have told you that you were crazy. The quality of the pictures I am taking with this little point and shoot camera is amazing. The auto settings are great. It’s almost not worth tweaking the settings unless you are going for a specific effect.
