4 Stars A Necessity
Canon calls this an Accessory Kit. I call it a Neccesity Kit. Here’s why. The Canon D10 is much too big to fit in a pants or shirt pocket. So where do you keep it if you want quick access? A gadget bag or a purse would work, except the D10 is meant for use in wet conditions like splashing around the pool or snorkeling. So this kit has several straps to secure the camera for exactly such activities. While kayaking, I attach one end of a strap to one corner of the D10, thread the strap through my life preserver, then attach the other end to another corner of the D10. The D10 is available instantly for that fleeting image, yet is totally safe should I dump into the water. The strap can be easily tightened to hold the camera tight to the body for strenuous activities like surfing or skiing. The straps and the unique way they attach to the D10 are the essense of this kit.

The kit includes a soft camera bag and three different colored covers to spruce up your D10. These are truly accessories. These are of little use to me, but you might like them.

So why only four stars for something I find essential? Because of the high price. I think this kit is way overpriced and thus I knocked off a star. But I recommend it if you use your D10 as I do and can afford it.

5 Stars Great neoprene cover for the Canon underwater camera
I like the way you can pop the camera in and out to get the fast photos. An assortment of cables that connect the camera to yourself, the boat, etc. may be a bit of overkill, but gives you options to pick what works.

4 Stars Great Product, but way over priced.
I bought this accessory pack for my D10 shortly after I bought the camera from Amazon. I tried surfing with the wrist strap that comes with the D10, and it just did not work out very well. I really needed a strap that wrapped around my chest so that I could free up my hands, and at the same time secure my camera. I broke down and purchased this kit (somewhere else cheaper) because I really needed a solution.

Let me say that the quality of the rope attachments are very good. They are extremely strong and can take a lot of abuse from scraping and being submerged in water. I mostly use the strap with the small carabiner on it because you can adjust the length. It is also nice to be able to attach the ends of the rope to any corner of the camera, making it more comfortable to wear.

Now when I am out surfing or snorkeling, I am able to wrap it around my chest, adjust it so its snug, and I am on my way. I have used it successfully in this manner for months, and really happy with this setup.

I wish they would really lower the price on this kit, because every Canon D10 owner should have one. There is no way ropes or faceplates cost this much to manufacturer. So come on Canon, stop gouging people.

3 Stars Pricey, but worth it if you don’t want to loose the camera
I had to spend the money for one cable that was important for me to have. I was going to hawaii to do a ton of snorkling and I wanted the chest strap so I didn’t have to worry about loosing my camera or the great pictures I was planning on taking.

I am majorly disapointed that you have to purchase everything to get one accessory that you want. However, the strap and the camera worked great. It is well worth the insurance policy of having this strap if you are snorkling in the water with this camera, but a darn shame they make you buy the rest of these worthless accessories for one good one. I guess I will have to ebay them!
